Joe DiMaggio had an impact in the 6-2 New York win over Texas. The 22-year old left fielder went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. New York sits in first place in the American League Eastern Division at 66-42.

DiMaggio had a key at-bat for New York in the top of the second. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 9th home run of the season and gave New York an early 2-0 lead.

"Every time I go up there, I try and hit a ball hard," said DiMaggio.
