The Boston Red Sox sent the home crowd home ecstatic.

Boston pitcher Cy Young did his part in helping his team beat the Toronto Blue Jays, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. The Red Sox now own a record of 57-50.

In the bottom of the ninth, with one out and the game tied, 2-2, 29-year old third baseman Wade Boggs won it for Boston. With runners on 1st and 2nd, Boggs hit a 0-1 fastball from Tom Henke for a run-scoring single, giving his team the 3-2 win.

Young said this kind of win gives the team "a buzz."
