2014 is shaping up to be a forgettable year for the Colorado Rockies.

The Chicago Cubs routed the Colorado Rockies, 13-1, at Wrigley Field. Hack Wilson, who is tied for 10th in the NL with a .296 batting average, was one of the hitting stars. He went 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for Chicago. Hippo Vaughn, the winning pitcher, is now 7-11. He went 7.1 innings, allowing 1 run on 5 hits, while fanning 3 and walking 2.

With Chicago leading 2-1 in the bottom of the second, Wilson hit a curveball from Aaron Cook for a 2-run home run. It was his 12th home run of the season and put the Cubs ahead, 4-1.

"Not much to say," Colorado manager said, when asked afterward about the defeat.

The Cubs now have a record of 54-51.
