Orioles Beat Mariners in 18
Seattle got a terrific performance from pitcher Hisashi Iwakuma, but it wasn't enough to beat the Baltimore Orioles. Baltimore won the Safeco Field contest, 5-2. Iwakuma threw 8.1 innings allowing 2 runs for the losing team. The Orioles are now 46-58, while the Mariners fall to 60-44.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Melvin Mora came to bat in the top of the 18th. Facing Seattle pitcher David Aardsma, he hit a 2-2 fastball for a 2-run single. It was a game-changer, putting Baltimore on top, 4-2.

Mora called getting the win a "good ending to a long game."
