Big Day for Terry as Giants Down Dodgers, 7-0

The San Francisco Giants knocked off the Los Angeles Dodgers, 7-0, at AT&T Park. Bill Terry was a big reason San Francisco won. The first baseman was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. The Giants are now 59-46.
Mel Ott had a big run-scoring double for the Giants in the bottom of the first inning. With San Francisco leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a screwball from Don Sutton, who is tied for 10th in the NL in innings pitched with 154.2, and swatted a double to right. It was his 18th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Giants ahead, 2-0.
"We did a lot of really good things and it was a good win," said Giants manager .
