A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Kansas City Royals and Chicago White Sox.
Kansas City Royals starter Kevin Appier turned in an exceptional performance against the Chicago White Sox at U.S. Cellular Field, resulting in a Kansas City win, 5-2. With the win over Chicago, the Royals improved to 52-49.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Willie Wilson? The Kansas City left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Royals on top, 2-0. For the game, Wilson had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
