Brewers Outdo Pirates in Extra Innings
The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the Pittsburgh Pirates, 3-2. Doing his part was catcher Ellie Rodriguez, who was 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Rollie Fingers picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-0. Kent Tekulve was tagged with the loss. Pittsburgh, with the loss, is 6-4.

The Brewers got a clutch hit from left fielder Geoff Jenkins. In the bottom of the 11th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Brewers.
