Clutch Hitting Delivers Win for Angels
With shortstop Andrelton Simmons leading the charge, the Los Angeles Angels defeated the Baltimore Orioles, 4-2, at Angel Stadium of Anaheim. Simmons, who is tied for 5th in the AL in hits with 113, was 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Troy Percival finished the game for Los Angeles and earned his 15th save. The last-place Orioles dropped to 43-56.

Los Angeles took a 4-2 lead on Simmons's 5th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which he hit off Tim Stoddard in the bottom of the eighth, propelled Los Angeles to the win.

Simmons attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."
