Brewers Slap 2-1 Loss on Nationals
The Milwaukee Brewers went home winners at Nationals Park, thanks in large part to starter Teddy Higuera. Higuera stifled the Washington Nationals, enabling Milwaukee to grab the 2-1 win. Higuera yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 2 hits, walked 6, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-7. After today's action, Milwaukee sits at 55-44, while Washington falls to 41-57.

It could have been a different outcome for Milwaukee, had it not been for Ryan J Braun, the 23-year old left fielder . Braun contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Milwaukee up, 1-0.

In postgame remarks, Braun hailed his team's "single-minded determination."
