The rain came, as predicted, but the Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves were able to complete their ballgame.

The Philadelphia Phillies downed the Atlanta Braves, 9-7, at Turner Field. Trea Turner led the way, going 4-for-5 for Philadelphia. Erskine Mayer wrapped it up, recording his 29th save.

Philadelphia used the hitting of Larry Bowa to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the second inning to put the Phillies on top, 4-0. For the game, Bowa had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We put it together and came out with the win," Turner said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

Philadelphia is now 54-43.
