Nationals Turn Back Milwaukee, 2-1
|
Starting pitcher Steve Rogers was a major factor in the 2-1 Washington Nationals triumph over the Milwaukee Brewers. Rogers picked up the win for Washington, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 3 hits. He now sports a record of 8-10. The Nationals are now 41-56, while the Brewers fall to 54-44.
Andre Dawson had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the eighth for Washington. He came through with a run-scoring single to put Washington in front, 2-0.
