The Kansas City Royals knocked off the Detroit Tigers, 6-3, in American League action at Kauffman Stadium. Kansas City pitcher and San Antonio, Texas, native Danny Jackson had an outstanding performance. Jackson got the win, improving to 8-8. He gave up 5 hits and walked 2 over 7 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The save went to Joakim Soria, his 1st this season.
