The home crowd had a good time watching the Philadelphia Phillies and Milwaukee Brewers get after it.

The Milwaukee Brewers picked up a win at Miller Park, taking down the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-3. Starting pitcher Mike Caldwell was a big reason why. The second-place Brewers now have a win-loss record of 52-39.

Cecil Cooper hit a run-scoring double off Chris Short in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Brewers in front, 1-0. In addition to the double, Cooper had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"Not the sexiest win," said Brewers manager , "but I'll take it."
