Atlanta Braves starter Tom Glavine turned in an exceptional performance against the New York Mets at Citi Field, resulting in a Atlanta win, 3-2. The win for the Braves raised their record to 50-39.

The Braves got a big at-bat from third baseman Chipper Jones. For the game, Jones went 1-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the second, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 11th home run of the season gave Atlanta a 2-0 lead.

"I was able to miss barrels for the most part and the guys behind me made plays," said Glavine.
