Kansas City Blanks Cleveland Behind Greinke
|
Zack Greinke of the Kansas City Royals shut out the Cleveland Indians, 5-0, at Progressive Field, holding them to 8 hits with 1 walk and 10 strikeouts.
Pressed for comments on his club's defeat, Cleveland skipper called the outing from Greinke "a jewel."
"The way Greinke was pitching, it would have been tough for anyone to beat him," he said.
For this year, Greinke has chalked up 11 wins and 6 losses in 17 starts with 94 strikeouts in 103 innings and a 3.76 ERA.
