The Toronto Blue Jays, despite a fine performance by Houston pitcher Shane Reynolds, grabbed a 3-2 win at Rogers Centre. Reynolds allowed 1 run over 6 innings. Toronto reliever Duane Ward was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Billy Wagner. Houston drops to 5-4.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Toronto designated hitter Bo Bichette, facing Xavier Hernandez, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Blue Jays the 3-2 win.

"We need to get rid of the bad mojo," said Bichette. "Maybe this win will help."
