Beckett Now 7-7 After Beating Phillies
The Miami Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 3-0, at Marlins Ballpark. Starting pitcher Josh Beckett was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. Picking up his 15th save was 30-year old right-handed pitcher Bryan Harvey. Miami is now 36-48, while Philadelphia is 48-35.

Beckett, who dominated for Miami, earned the victory to move to 7-7. He was in control the whole game, scattering 3 hits over 7.1 innings, while striking out 7. Philadelphia batters could never bunch up enough hits to produce a rally.

"We were trying to do a difficult thing -- winning a game without scoring," said Philadelphia manager . "That's not going to work out."
