Ohtani hits 19th home run in Dodgers Win
|
In baseball, each game is unique. This one was no different.
The Los Angeles Dodgers stopped the St. Louis Cardinals, 7-2, behind an impressive performance from Shohei Ohtani. The 30-year old designated hitter made life miserable for St. Louis pitching. He was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Los Angeles is now 41-42.
Ohtani had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a first pitch fastball from Todd Worrell, he banged a grand slam home run to right-center, giving the Dodgers a 6-2 lead. It was the 19th home run of the year for Ohtani.
"Helping the team win is what it's all about," said Ohtani.
