Reds Pin 9-3 Loss on Cubs

Cincinnati and Chicago got after it at Wrigley Field.
The Cincinnati Reds picked up a win, 9-3, over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field. Vada Pinson led the charge. The Memphis, Tennessee native was 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Cincinnati. Don Gullett was the winner. Over 7 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 10 hits, with 3 walks and 4 strikeouts.
Joe L Morgan cracked a home run off Rick Reuschel in the top of the second. His 3-run blast put the Reds on top, 3-0. In all, Morgan had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 5.
