Pujols goes 3-for-4, Leads St. Louis to 7-4 Win
St. Louis first baseman Albert Pujols had a 3-RBI game, which helped his team beat the Philadelphia Phillies, 7-4. John Tudor was the winner. He's now 6-8. The loser was 28-year old right-handed pitcher Pete Alexander. Al Hrabosky earned the save, his 14th in 14 tries.

Joe Medwick went 2 for 4 with 2 singles for St. Louis. The 25-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the bottom of the fourth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 2-2 tie with a run-scoring single off Pete Alexander. It was his 82nd hit of the season.

"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Medwick told the St. Louis News.

The Cardinals now have a record of 40-35 with the win over Philadelphia.
