Tucker Lifts Astros to 9-6 Triumph
|
The Houston Astros downed the Washington Nationals, 9-6, at Nationals Park. The Astros were led by Kyle Tucker. Tucker was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. The third-place Astros are now 37-35, the Nationals 26-44.
Houston center fielder Richard Hidalgo contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the first. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 24th hit of the season and put the Astros ahead, 3-0.
