Starting pitcher from Key West Florida Juan Padron was drafted by the Chicago White Sox. Right fielder of the St. Louis Stars of the Negro Leagues, Charlie Blackwell was picked up by the St. Louis Cardinals.

01/08/1914 Starting pitcher from the Chicago American Giants, Dick Whitworth was drafted by the Cleveland team. The Philadelphia Phillies picked up pitcher Gerardo Ballesteros from La Habana, Cuba.
