In the off season the major leagues has seen an influx of talent coming from the Negro Leagues. The Washington Senators have been the recipent of top prospects Jud Wilson, Sam Streeter and Nip Winters. The New York Giants have also come up big the recruitment of Judy Johnson and George Scales. Other stars to make their way to the majors are Larry Brown. Walter Cannady, Willis Flournoy, Rats Henderson, Newt Joseph and Webster McDonald. At this point just over 100 players from the Negro Leagues have made their way to major league clubs since the Integreated Major League started in 1901.

As of the beginning of the 1922 season there are 57 Negro League stars in the league with 41 playing in starting roles. That's roughly 20%. The clubs with the most Negro Leaguers are the Boston Braves and the Washington Senators with 6. The Cleveland Indians, Chicago White Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies have 5.
